On the Web, the most obvious difference is the CalMAX home page, where you will see a change in color and design. We have also revised the CalMAX guidleines in order to help you determine if CalMAX is the right venue for your materials. We encourage you to take a moment to review these guidelines when visitng the Web site. New Regional Map At CalMAX, our goal is to respond to the needs of our users. To that end, we have enhanced the table of contents in our catalog so you can find the category that you are looking for in a more timely way. After reviewing the table of contents, take a look at our latest page-indexing feature designed to help you locate materials by referencing the top of the page for specific entries (i.e.: the yellow pages format). In the Future and On the Web With an eye toward the future, CalMAX also plans to introduce a key word and county search option to enhance your ability to locate materials within a specific county. Contact Information: The Waste Reduction Awards Program (WRAP) is coming to your town! WRAP was originated in 1993 by CIWMB to recognize California businesses and nonprofit organizations for their accomplishments in reducing the amount of waste sent to landfills. Awards for WRAP are granted to reward resource-efficient operations that "Reduce, Reuse, and Recycle" and purchase recycled-content products. The annual application period is open from April 1 to June 30, 2000. WRAP Winners will receive the following items:
Since 1993, more than 2,300 WRAP awards have been presented to California businesses. These businesses have saved money on avoided procurement and disposal costs by implementing resource-efficient practices and aggressive waste reduction, reuse, and recycling activities. All of the WRAP winners are listed on the WRAP Web site at www.ciwmb.ca.gov/WRAP/. So dont delay, request your application today and join those environmentally conscious business owners in California, who have become recent WRAP winners.
