Cheryl Peace

Cheryl Peace was appointed by Assembly Speaker Fabian Núñez on June 15, 2007 as a full-time member of the California Integrated Waste Management Board. She is one of the four public representatives on the Board. Her term extends until January 1, 2010.

Ms. Peace previously served on the Board as an appointee of the Senate Rules Committee from January 8, 2003 until January 1, 2007. During her first term she was particularly active in reforming the waste tire manifest program and in promoting the use of Rubberized Asphalt Concrete (RAC) on California’s roads and highways.

Ms. Peace graduated with honors and a degree in business administration from San Diego State University and was previously employed as a loan officer for Bank of America and a financial analyst for an aerospace parts manufacturer.

Ms. Peace, her husband Steve, and her three grown sons reside in San Diego.
