You Can Do It Too!

Preventing Office Waste at the California Integrated Waste Management Board

The purpose of this case study is to assist all types of organizations and businesses in establishing their own waste prevention and recycling program to prevent solid waste and save resources. This study describes waste prevention efforts undertaken at the Integrated Waste Management Board from February through October 1994. We explain how this effort started, specific waste prevention practices that were tried, and whether such practices were successful or not. We hope that you will be able to build from our experience.
